Biography
Mr Samuel Mutie hails from Challa Ward, Taveta Sub County. He was appointed as Board Member of the County Public Service Board of Taita Taveta on 27thAugust 2019 and currently serving as the Chairperson of Governance and Audit Committee.
He has a vast experience as an Educationist having taught at Canon Kituri Secondary for two (2) and a half years, Kenyatta High School, Mwatate for ten(10) years where he headed two Departments:(HOD – core curricular coordinator and HOD Humanities) In the course of his teaching career, he rose through the sports ranks to hold Taita Taveta secondary Sports Secretary for several years.
Mr Mutie joined the County Government of Taita Taveta in the Year 2014 as Director of Communication for five (5) years. Mr Mutie holds other Portfolios as the Chairman of Mwalimu National Sacco Taita Taveta Branch and Supervisory Chairman for Voi Akamba Welfare Unity Group. In addition, he is a Board Member at Mahandakini Secondary School and Kilimanjaro Premier Academy both at taveta sub-county. He Holds a Bachelors Degree in Education from Kenyatta University.
